New York-based electronic pop outfit COLOR WAR is back with an evolved sound in Bitte.
Following their debut album It Could Only Be This Way, Bitte expands on the synth-laden emotional landscape of their first LP to include more bold breaks, pop shimmer, and energy to fuel their signature tales of toxic love and desperation.
With Bitte (German for both “please” and “you’re welcome”), the band continues to examine the shape of pop music, flirting with catchy hooks and choruses while subverting the traditional format and language of the genre.
Lindsay Mound’s (Songwriter/vocalist) lyrics speak to the human compulsion to change the ones we love in spite of our own flaws and failures. What begins as a confessional ballad takes several turns along the way towards becoming a breathtaking dance blowout that revels in the dysfunction of the song’s lovers.
